Extended to 20th june 2016
A "secret" treasure rediscovered: a corpus of little-known works painted by major 17th century Florentine artists and painstakingly restored, will be on public display in the rooms adjacent to the Palatine Chapel in Palazzo Pitti until May 2016. The chapel, which was commissioned by Grand Duke Pietro Leopoldo of the House of Lorraine, is still consecrated but very rarely open to the public. Thus this exhibition is a wonderful opportunity to combine the principles of conservation and enhancement of Florence's heritage thanks to the restorations conducted specifically for this occasion and to the new exhibition space, it too restored and now built into the regular tour of the Museo degli Argenti.
